Some days you're the windshield and other days you're the bug.

Today started out moderately blah with a couple minutes of blech.

Then it got worse. I found out that Jerry Nelson died. It hit me really hard.

Trust me when I tell you this: if you are of my generation, then Jerry Nelson was a big part of your childhood experience. I promise you.

You see, Jerry  was a Muppeteer. That's right - Jerry worked and voice a Muppet. Actually... he voiced and worked a lot of them. I knew of  a couple of the characters, but I was unaware of how many of them he was responsible for.

I think that you can understand why this bothered me... He was all of my favorite characters save for two and it hit me incredibly hard.

I know that there are some people that have harder days. I know someone who's family doesn't want to talk to them. People whose work sucks. College students who are probably going to be short on food money for the semester.

Yet, here I am... aspie in mourning.

Jerry Nelson... you will be missed.
